How do you keep your cuticles neat and trimmed?

To keep your cuticles in top condition, we recommend using our Cuticle Remover, and leaving it on for 1 minute to soften your cuticles. Then go in with a wooden or metal cuticle pusher to gently push back your cuticles and remove any dead skin. Use the Cuticle Nippers to trim any dead white skin from your cuticles, and use cuticle oil regularly to keep them healthy.  

What is the difference between a UV and LED Lamp?

Both LED and UV nail lamps produce light which cures gel polish. The main difference between the two lamps is the technology within them, the type of bulbs they contain, and the type of light they produce. UV lamps can take longer to cure your gel polish. A layer of gel polish will take 120 seconds to fully cure. Whereas LED lamps, with their narrower wavelengths, can cure polish a lot quicker from 15 to 60 seconds.

What do the nail file grits mean?

Files are made of tiny particles of grit which vary from being coarse to fine. Files are graded and numbered according to how many particles of grit per square inch. For example a very coarse file would be an 100 grit, you’d use this to file down builder gel or polygel. A much less abrasive or very fine file would be 240 grit, which you could use on natural nails. 

What is Polygel?

Polygel is a thick gel paste formula in a tube. It’s stronger and more durable than traditional gel polish, and it’s a lot lighter than sculpting heavy acrylic nails. It can be used with the Mylee Slip Solution and Dual Ended Tool as an overlay on natural nails, or to sculpt extensions using paper forms or dual forms, and is quickly cured under a LED or UV lamp to provide strong and natural looking nails.
